Habitat for Humanity helper
Purpose:
Habitat is a ministry that provides housing and repairs homes for needy families. Messiah members reach out into the community and are witnesses for Christ to the needy families and to the surrounding communities.

Responsibilities:
All responsibilities are done on volunteer basis/ no training required/ you may select to help with any of the following (training will be provided if needed):
*Fund Development
*Construction (driving nails, sawing boards, carrying boards, digging dirt, installing hardware, cabinets, erecting walls, doors and siding, etc.)
*Painting
*Landscaping
*Bringing drinks and refreshments or meals to those who are working on the house
Time involved:
The building of a house takes around 14 weeks and construction is done during the spring and summer months. Most work is done on Saturdays and there is no time limit to how many Saturdays or how many hours you work. It’s up to each volunteer.

Exodus 35:31-33, 35-36:1 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts-to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic craftsmanship. He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen…and every skilled person to whom the Lord has given skill and ability to know how to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary, are to do the work just as the Lord commanded.
Hebrews 6:10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.
