Purpose:

To provide support and fellowship for mothers with young children. Provides a support group and fellowship among the young mothers of Messiah with an emphasis on raising children in Christian homes.  Provides babysitting for all special events at Messiah so parents are able to attend these events.

Responsibilities:

*Meet on the scheduled night (usually 2^nd Tuesday at 7 PM)

*Help to provide meals for mothers of newborns, mothers who have had surgery or bedridden moms-to-be

*Help to schedule baby-sitting for church activities and Sunday School

*Distribute Cradle Roll Packages of Christian literature to new moms and continue to send pamphlets and birthday cards as the children grow (usually done by a board member)

*May help to furnish the baptismal banner displayed during the baptism which is given to the child

*Help to maintain the upkeep of the nursery area and restocking supplies when needed

Time involved:

One meeting per month on the second Tuesday of the month.  Meeting usually lasts 2 hours (7-9 PM).  Baby-sitting is provided.  Any other time involved is up to the individual according to areas they would like to help with.
