Messiah Lutheran Church

 

Visitation Teams

 

Purpose:

To visit the people who have attended our worship services for the first time, thank them for being with us, and invite them to worship with us again.

 

Show guest that we care about them and would love to have them become a part of our church family.  It also gives us an opportunity to answer any questions they may have about Messiah.

Responsibilities:

  • Go out every assigned Sunday on Visitation.  Report to church office on Sunday afternoon to get first time guest assignments.  If you cannot visit as scheduled, let the Chairperson know or find a replacement.
  • Visit our first time guest(s) to thank them for coming to Messiah and to get to know them.  This is more of a friendly visit than an evangelism visit.  Always leave information gift bag, even if no one is home.
  • After leaving fill in the visitor information sheet.
  • Leave sheet on the desk in the church office or fax them to 972-398-7597.

Time involved:

About 2 to 3 hours per assigned Sunday.  The number of Sundays depends on the number of Visitation Teams.

1 Peter 4:9-10 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.  Each one should use whatever gift he has received to others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
