Children’s Ministry-

  "Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. Children’s Sunday School

We welcome all children ages 2 through 4^th grade (5^th and beyond is part of the youth program) to join our Sunday School classes.  We’re dedicated to bringing God’s Word to our children in a way they can both understand it and have fun learning how to live it. 

The children through 1st grade begin together for a brief opening that focuses them on the theme through music and drama and then they break out to their own rooms for class time where they dig in, relate the stories to their lives, and apply their newfound knowledge in fun activities. 

Children in 2nd - 4th grade dive deeper into the Bible and have more than enough activities to fill the entire hour, so they head straight to their classes.

Nursery

The nursery of Messiah is here to provide loving and safe care for infants and small children while their parents are involved in worship, Bible study, or fellowship.  It’s open to all children 3 years and younger.  We have two locations.  There is an infant nursery focused on infants from 10 weeks up through steady walkers.  This room is to the left of the worship center.  The toddler nursery is for steady walkers through age 3 and is located in room E125N of the education building.

We offer a simple set of Bible stories, songs, and prayers that are part of your child's visit to the Toddler Nursery during the Sunday School hour.  These will allow our almost-two year olds a preview into the world of Sunday School.

Our caregivers all have long experience in childcare, first aid and CPR training, and most importantly of all, a love for our little ones.  If you need help finding either of these locations, please ask a greeter, usher, or any of our members, and they’ll be happy to assist you.

Vacation Bible School

Messiah delievers an exciting, activity-filled, week of summer adventure during Vacation Bible School (VBS).  This gives children an opportunity to keep focused on God’s Word during the summer and also gives them a great opportunity to invite friends to join the fun.  The children move through different stations including story time, crafts, snack, music, games, and opening and closing activities. 

VBS is a crazy week, but it’s also a week where the Bible really comes alive for kids as they experience God’s Word in so many new and exciting ways.  We have programming for all children from age 3 through 4^th grade and we love having visitors.

The closing service at 11:00 am on Sunday, August 1st was a joy-filled expressive review of HIGH SEAS EXPEDITION.
