Pastor was raised in Collinsville, Illinois, just outside of St. Louis. His father is also a pastor, now retired. He has three brothers and one sister. He attended college at St. Paul's College in Concordia, Missouri, Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Concordia Teacher's College in Seward, Nebraska. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri in 1981 with a Master of Divinity degree. Since then he has earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California, in Church Leadership and Church Growth. He started a mission congregation in Searcy, Arkansas, from 1981-87. He then took a call to be the Assistant Pastor at a 4000+ member congregation at Concordia, San Antonio, Texas until 1992, when he came here. Pastor is married to Angela (they were married in 1978), who is an AP and Honors Biology Teacher at Wakeland High School in Frisco. They have three adult children: Jonathan, Kristen, and Jaclyn.
Pastor Otte graduated from Concordia, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, with a Master of Divinity degree. He has been a Pastor since the early 1980's and also has a Masters of Education degree. One of his main talents lies in his outstanding ability to counsel those who are troubled or in need of spiritual guidance. He received his Licensure as a Professional Counselor in Texas and has enjoyed a long-term relationship as a counselor on the staff of Samaritan Counseling Center of East Texas. He currently does visitation for shut-ins and hospitalized, as well as counseling at Messiah. His office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Friday , and Sunday. He is married to Victoria and has one grown daughter.
Pastor Daniel Borkenhagen: Full-time Associate Pastor

Pastor Borkenhagen was raised in White Bear Lake, MN, a suburb of the Twin Cities. He graduated from Concordia, St. Paul, MN with his BA in history and pre-seminary studies, and then Concordia Seminary in St. Louis with his MDiv. His job focuses on care and outreach, adult education, and helping Pastor Kollmann as needed with his job. He's also working on the website so if you have any questions concerning it, you can contact him. Pastor’s wife is Jessica, and they have one infant son.
Ellen is a graduate of Concordia University, River Forest, Illinois. She works with welcome ministries and new members, making sure that everyone feels at home when they become a part of the Messiah family. She organizes special events at Messiah and enjoys the creative part of her job in putting together brochures, flyers, etc. She also is in charge of planning worship and assists our Minister of Music. She married Chuck In 1997.

Kim graduated from Concordia, Seward, Nebraska. She is in charge of the Youth areas of ministry and has a passion for helping kids connect to each other and most importantly, to Jesus as their Lord. She is a Synodically-trained Director of Christian Education. She also has directed numerous Christmas and Easter pageants, as well as being very gifted musically. Kim is married to Alan and they have two grown daughters.

Dorothy is a Music major graduate from Louisiana Tech University. She served in our music ministry for over 5 years before becoming a full-time staff member. She leads Youth and Adult Choirs, directs our Praise Teams, and plays organ and piano. Dorothy is always happy to get get new people involved in whatever ways their musical gifts allow, so let her know if you're interested. She is married to Ed, and they have two sons who were born 10 years apart from each other.

Kathy runs our Church Office and keeps things moving quickly and efficiently around Messiah. She also manages the flow of information, answers the phone, and helps out the pastors on staff. When you first walk into our office area, Kathy is the one who will greet you at the door with a smile, help you out with copies, etc. If you have any information that you want to put into the bulletin announcements or Messenger newsletter, or want to schedule an event, please contact her. She's been married to her husband, Ralph, since 1998.

Susan is the friendly face you see as you walk upstairs in our education building. She is a native Texan, graduating from Plano Senior High. After she joined Messiah she became active as a volunteer and later on the Lord turned that into an opportunity for a full-time job. She oversees our database information, Counters’ Ministry, and is also the secretary for the “2nd floor” program staff- another staff person who wears many hats. She is married to Chris, and they have 2 sons.
Don is always on the move as he works to keep Messiah looking beautiful. After one visit you’ll see the evidence of his passion for this work. He keeps very busy as he coordinates all of our property for both the Lambs’ and the Church. He is the one you talk to about setting up for special events. Don is married to Kim and they have two sons and one grandson.
Amy oversees our children's ministries, including Sunday School, VBS, SS, Christmas Pageant, and Nursery. She graduated from the Univ. of Southwestern Louisiana (now Univ. of LA), and later the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She is married to Nick (Pastor Kollmann's 1st wedding at Messiah), and has 2 daughters, and 1 son---all baptized at Messiah.

Gail is a graduate of Concordia University Seward, Nebraska. She majored in Special Education and minored in Music and Early childhood. She began her teaching career in Michigan in 1975. While living in Michigan she completed her Masters of Arts in Teaching degree at Oakland University. Gail has taught a variety of ages over the years from preschool through high school. Gail is married to Joel, a Dallas Firefighter. They have three children, a daughter and two sons. Gail is also the grandmother of two girls.
