Summer Camps

Re: Covid-19 Response

A Word from Our Director

Hey Summer Camp families!

Providing fun and educational summer camps for Messiah’s littlest friends is always the highlight of my summer. Helping kids learn through play is so important for development and it’s just plain fun! That’s why I’m particularly sad to announce we will be suspending camps this year. As information and guidelines from the Texas HHS and the CDC continue to change, I am not confident we are ready to open at this time. I am committed to opening our doors when I can be sure we are providing a safe care environment for everyone.

Sad part over! I can’t leave my campers high and dry so I am working on adapting my curriculum in to an at-home “Summer Camp Kit”. I’m still trying to figure out what this will look like, which is why I’m contacting you. I’ve created a survey so you can tell me what I can do to help, short of keeping your child in our facility. Please be honest in your answers and if you have specific needs or ideas, please add those to the comments boxes. I want to provide as much value as I can.

In addition to providing safe edutainment for campers and hopefully some relief for caregivers, my secondary goal is to provide income for teachers who rely on my program yearly. Lambs/Summer Camp teachers are THE kindest and hardest working people I’ve had the pleasure of directing. If you love our teachers as much as I do, please consider supporting them by purchasing our kits.

Due to these unprecedented circumstances, Messiah Lutheran Church will be issuing a refund for those who have already made full or partial payments. I will be contacting you directly to find out the best way to refund your camp fees. Money already paid can be able to be applied to purchasing kits, so please consider that.

Thank you so much for your patience at this time. Please fill out the survey and I will hopefully be in touch with you sometime next week.

Summer Day Camps

Children 3-12 years of age

We are excited to once again offer a series of Summer camps for Messiah’s littlest friends. Summer camps at Messiah are a great way for kids to burn off that summer energy and to make friendships that will last a lifetime. We aim to build knowledge and skills while sharing the love of Christ with all our campers.
